Changes to my study programme 馃樉

Imagen
As a dedicated  and passionate   Renewable Natural Resources Engineering student at the University of Chile, I’ve experienced the challenges and opportunities of my study program. Being part of the 2021 generation, we’re the first to experience a curriculum change, making us “guinea pigs” for the faculty. I value the inclusion of a semester of elective courses in the curriculum. However, the academic workload is high. It would be beneficial to distribute it more evenly throughout the program. This could alleviate student pressure and allow us to delve deeper into each topic.  The faculty facilities are appreciable, especially the green environment of the campus. However, maintenance is required for many buildings and green areas. It would be helpful if the university could invest in these facilities to enhance our learning experience. In terms of technology use, we use specialized software in our studies, but the available computer equipment is not optimal. The current computers someti

Travel in time 馃檧

Imagen
The decision to time travel is a fascinating and complex topic. My choice would depend on the rules governing this hypothetical journey. If my actions could have repercussions, I’d probably opt to travel to the future. I really appreciate my present and wouldn’t want to alter it. If my actions didn’t change time, I’d love traveling to the past. I’d explore natural places that no longer exist or have changed. It would be incredible to see beautiful landscapes, flora, fauna, and climate of those times.   I’d love to solve some archaeological mysteries. For example, understanding the Rongo Rongo symbols, a form of writing from Oceania found in Rapa Nui, whose meaning is unknown. I’d also like to discover the purpose of the Nazca lines.   Despite this, I wouldn’t want to stay in the past. The comforts and securities we enjoy today are valuable. Moreover, it’s in this present where the people I care about are. While the past holds many mysteries and wonders, it also lacks many a

My dream job 馃樃

Imagen
I would like to work as an engineer in renewable natural resources, a career I love for its connection to biodiversity conservation. I imagine a job that would let me travel and learn about different ecosystems and cultures, nationally and internationally. I think it would be rewarding and fun. To do this job, I would need skills like language proficiency, computer program use and data analysis. I would also have to be updated on the latest research and trends in the field of renewable natural resources. Moreover, I would like to do a master’s degree to specialize in an area that I find fascinating and challenging. As for the salary, I do not have a specific figure, but I would be happy with one that would allow me to keep my current lifestyle and save some money for the future. However, the most important thing is to enjoy what I do and feel that I am making a positive difference in the world. This is the job that I want for the future, because it matches my interests, values and skil

The best concert ever 馃樆

Imagen
I don’t go to concerts often, but I’m happy I went to one in Santiago. It was Nathy Peluso’s gig at the Movistar Arena, and it was great. She is one of my fave singers, and she has a cool mix of rap, soul, jazz, and Latin rhythms. She is also very lively on stage, and she knows how to rock the crowd. The atmosphere at the event was good, fun. It was full but not overcrowded, so I could get close and see her better. That made it even more cool. And as a bonus, I made a friend at the concert. I went alone, but I met a nice girl. We had a lot in common, and we enjoyed the show together. I told her about my career, and she decided to study natural resources engineering too, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile later on. I joked that I had turned her to the dark side. It was a great night, and I’m grateful I went. Nathy Peluso is a great artist, and she touched me with her voice. She made me feel alive and happy. She gave me the best concert ever.

The country that I would like to visit 馃樃

Imagen
Peru is a country that I would like to go, due to its great diversity of landscapes, cultures and gastronomy. It offers from the high mountains of the Andes to the Amazon jungle, passing through the Pacific coast. In addition, it has a rich history and heritage, with archaeological sites such as Machu Picchu, the Inca citadel that is one of the wonders of the world. What attracts me most to Peru is traveling and discovering the natural spaces it has. I would love to see Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, or the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest. I would also like to explore the biodiversity of the jungle and see exotic animals like a jaguar or a macaw. I am not interested in studying, working or living in Peru. But I would like to visit Peru as a tourist and enjoy its beauty and culture. I think it would be an unforgettable experience too

馃檧a website that has helped me in my career馃樅

In this occasion, I want to share my experience with Scielo, a digital platform that provides free access to scientific journals from Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and the Caribbean. As a student, I visit Scielo weekly to read papers relevant to my assignments. I recommend Scielo for its open access approach, quality peer-reviewed articles, and breadth of disciplines covered. Scielo’s user-friendly interface simplifies the search and selection of academic articles. The fact that these papers are freely available removes financial barriers to quality research. The rigorous peer-review process ensures the reliability of the articles. Scielo’s wide range of disciplines allows me to explore topics beyond my primary area of focus. By regularly visiting Scielo, I have access to relevant papers and stay informed about the latest research. I wholeheartedly recommend Scielo to fellow students for discovering and accessing high-quality scientific articles.  This is the link of the page, use it

馃樃My favorite food馃崳馃崹馃崐

My favorite food is sushi, I really love it, it's both hot and cold food and whenever you eat it it's a special moment, I like to eat it with teriyaki sauce and my favorite roll is fried shrimp. I like to eat sushi itself, but I'm also satisfied with eating a handroll to go, which is easier to find, takes less time and is cheaper. Aside from sushi I really love ice cream. My favorites are the ones with cream, no matter how much I have eaten, no matter what the weather is, I could always be eating ice cream. I also deeply love eating fruits, I always have fruits in my backpack accompanying me wherever I go, especially when they are in season, the fruit that I eat the most in autumn are oranges because in my house I have orange trees, they are my favorites Sushi rolls Ice creams One of the orange tree in my house
